Part of Hasbros Star Wars Evolutions series, these three action figures trace Anakin Skywalkers transformation from a teenaged Jedi apprentice to an Episode III-era Clone Wars commander to the dreaded Darth Vader. Young Anakins rat-tail hair accentuates his zombie-like expression, while Darths helmet comes off to reveal the aged, disfigured Anakin beneath. (Unfortunately, the helmet doesnt stay on easily--a potential problem during the heat of battle.) All in all, the figures are nicely detailed and highly nimble, though their ill-fitting garb seems to get in the way. Accessories include a blue lightsaber, a set of shackles, and replacement robotic hands. --Andy Boynton
